Orecchiette with Brussels Sprouts and Bacon
Intro
Ingredients
1 pound Orecchiette Pasta
8 oz bacon, cut into 11/2 inch pieces
1 sweet onion, chopped
1 pound Brussels sprouts, cleaned, trimmed and cut into 1/4 inch slices
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup walnut pieces, toasted
4 tablespoons Zesty Lemon Herb
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
1. Cook the pasta according to package directions.
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, bacon and cook until crisp. Transfer to a paper towel. Reserve 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
3. In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, stir in the onion, and brussel sprouts. Saute for 5-7 minutes, or until onions are translucent.
4. Stir in the garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then add the bacon, pasta, walnuts and Zesty Lemon Herb seasoning.
5. Serve warm with Parmesan cheese.
