Village Greek Salad Recipe

This is a traditional Greek salad known as horiatiki salata. This is an assembled salad of large-diced vegetables with Kalamata olives and sometimes capers, this salad has no greens at all, and the feta is served sliced on top of the salad rather than crumbled.

1 tablespoon Mediterranean Seasoning

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

4 tomatoes, cut in wedges

1 green cucumber, thinly sliced

1 green pepper, cut in half rings

1 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup kalamata olives

1 tablespoon capers, rinsed

1/2 cup pepperoncini

8 ounces feta cheese, cubed


1. In a small bowl, whisk together the Mediterranean seasoning, olive oil, and lemon juice.

2. In a large bowl add all of the chopped vegetables, olives, capers, pepperoncini peppers and feta cheese.

3. Drizzle the vinaigrette over the vegetables and toss well to incorporate.

Recipe Tip:
Stuff leftovers into a pita - this is an amazing quick meal!
