Texas Red Taco Salad

This is the taco salad of my dreams. Loaded with vegetables, cheese, and of course lime crema.
Texas Red Taco Salad.

1 pound ground meat, beef, turkey, chicken, or plant protein

3 tablespoons Texas Red Seasoning or Taco Salad Seasoning

15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed

15 oz can sweet corn, drained

1 cup tomatoes, diced

1/2 cup red onion, diced

4 cups lettuce, shredded

1 avocado, diced

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Garnish: tortilla chips, salsa and hot sauce

Optional: juice of 1 lime and 1 cup sour cream


1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground meat and Texas Red (or Taco Salad Seasoning). Sauté until just cooked, about 10 minutes.

2. Transfer to a large bowl. Add black beans and sweet corn. Top with tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, avocado and cheese. Serve with tortilla chips, salsa, and hot sauce.

3. Optional: Combine the lime juice and sour cream for an incredible lime crema.
